The ABUS Crash Replacement Scheme
If you ride an ABUS helmet and have a crash whilst wearing it, you can take advantage of the ABUS Crash Replacement Scheme if the helmet is less than 3 years old from the date of purchase (proof of purchase required). You are able to buy an equivalent replacement helmet at a reduced price or the equivalent replacement model, should your model no longer be available.
How do I do this?
Contact the retailer from where you purchased the orginal helmet. The retailer will advise you of the current offer price for your replacement helmet. If you would like to go ahead with the offer, the retailer will ask to you return the helmet for them to confirm the helmet has been damaged or destroyed.
They will also require the following details:
- Information on when and how the accident occurred
- Proof of purchase of the old helmet (within the 3 years)
The retailer will then provide you with a like-for-like replacement or equivalent model.
