The Charge is like a lightweight Mule, our test-winning pack from the last couple of years. It weighs 467g 200g lighter than the current Mule, and most of this has been lost from theL.E (Lightweight Exoskeleton) back panel. This is 40 per cent thicker and features greater separation between the raised panels than the original Charge 450 but it's still low profile compared to the competition. Breathability and comfort is excellent.
Internally there's 14.5 litres of storage and it's well organised with an array of mesh tool pockets, each topped off with a little pull-tag for ease of opening. The waist-belt features two mesh pockets, handy for gels, a lift pass or multi-tool. Access to the three-litre Antidote reservoir is through the back panel.
