Q:
Can I get a replacement key for my lock?
A:
Yes. If you have your key number; this can usually be found on a credit style card provided with the lock or stamped in to the key its self. If you have lost the number or can not read it we may be able to make a copy from an existing key. The number printed in the small instruction booklet is not your key number it is just an example.
Q:
I don’t know my key number and have lost all my keys. Is the number on the lock or in the little booklet which I need?
A:
No, sorry this number has no relevance to your key. There is nothing that can be done under these circumstances; you will have to purchase a replacement lock.
Q:
How often should I lubricate my lock?
A:
We would recommend you lubricate your lock at least once a month using oil such as “3 in 1”. If you are using your lock everyday in damp or salty conditions, you will need to lubricate it more often.
Q:
I have lost my combination is there a way to open my lock?
A:
No. We are sorry, but you will have to cut off your lock if it is in use and purchase a replacement.
Q:
I have snapped off my key inside the lock what should I do?
A:
If the key is not fully inserted into the lock and then force is applied, you may snap your key. The lock barrel will not turn unless the entire key is inserted and forcing it will result in snapping of the key. Locks with keys which have snapped off because they have not been fully inserted are not covered by the manufactures warranty. If the key is fully inserted and snaps off then there will always be enough metal to grab with a pair of pliers to remove the broken key.
Q:
I have a Plus Key lock and can not fully insert my key what should I do?
A:
The Plus Key mechanism uses rotating discs; one of the discs may have rotated slightly due to vibrations or an attempted theft. Insert your key in as far as it will go, now rotate the key backwards and forwards while trying to insert it further. You should be able to align the discs and fully insert the key. DO NOT use excessive force as this may result in a snapped key. If this does not work, contact or return the lock to the point of purchase.
Q:
